Croatan Institute President speaks at Confluence Philanthropy
On March 10, Croatan Institute President and Senior Fellow Josh Humphreys presented at Confluence Philanthropy’s 6th Annual Practitioners Gathering in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Humphreys spoke on a panel titled, “Looking Beyond Next Quarter, Changing Our Thinking About Timelines and Return,” in which he focused on long-term investing and the problem of endowments. The panel also included William Page, portfolio manager of the Global Environmental Opportunities Strategy (GEOS), at Essex Investment Management Company, LLC and Nancy Pfund, Managing Partner at DBL Partners. Molly Betournay of Pathstone Federal Street moderated the discussion.
