Croatan Institute welcomes three to Board of Advisers
Croatan Institute is pleased to welcome three distinguished civil society leaders to our Board of Advisers.
Anuradha Mittal, the executive director of Oakland Institute, is an internationally renowned expert on trade, development, human rights and agriculture issues. She also serves on the Board of Ben & Jerry’s.
David Orr is a Counselor to the President of Oberlin College and the Steven A. Minter Fellow at the Cleveland Foundation. He is the author of seven books, including Down to the Wire: Confronting Climate Collapse.
Sharlene Brown is the national director of Oikocredit USA, an international cooperative microfinance investment vehicle that is one of the largest sources of private funding to the microfinance sector.
The Board of Advisers is the Croatan Institute President’s advisory council, composed of leaders of allied organizations and experts in relevant fields of inquiry and engagement, who share a sense of the Institute's public purpose.
