News and Views from Croatan Institute
Croatan Institute is excited to announce a new partnership with The Nathan Cummings Foundation to expand the tools available to investors eager to increase their racial equity dividend. Through our REEFS initiative, we will be developing a new Total Portfolio Activation for Racial Equity Toolkit and a complementary REEFS Investor Engagement for Impact Toolkit. Croatan Institute is now seeking matching sponsorship support to expand the impact of these new REEFS toolkits and ensure these forthcoming resources reach a broader community of investors.
The Institute mourns the loss of our founding Board Treasurer Dolly Gray-Bussard, who passed away at her home in Santa Fe, New Mexico, on August 18, 2020, after a long battle with cancer.
Croatan Institute has begun a rapid-response assessment of the capital needs of the regenerative grain and livestock sectors, with an emphasis on small to medium scale post-farmgate supply chain businesses. Many businesses have needed to pivot their business models during COVID19, and capturing new customers in a post-COVID19 world may take additional time, resources, equipment and capital.
